In a recent presentation titled "Questions You should ask your Accountant: A Business Owner’s Guide," Charles Lutimba CPA, Manager Standards & Technical Support at ICPAU, shed light on the vital role of accountants and provided business owners with valuable insights into understanding the services accountants offer and essential questions they should ask.
The online presentation, organized by the Enterprise Uganda Recovery Series, aimed to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge necessary to maximize the potential of their businesses by leveraging the expertise of accountants. The presentation then delved into the various services accountants provide to businesses. Charles discussed financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management, emphasizing the importance of these services in guiding businesses towards success. He also highlighted tax planning and compliance, bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and advice on mergers and acquisitions.
