Junior Entrepreneurship Bootcamp held for the first time in Bangladesh

Junior Entrepreneurship Bootcamp- 2021 was hosted by My e-kids in collaboration with Global Entrepreneurship Network Bangladesh during 18-20 March 2021. It is a three days entrepreneurship camp that gives children the opportunity to develop and implement their entrepreneurial skills. The Bootcamp is developed to provide young people (class 6-12) with an entrepreneurial experience using the activities and business simulation as a platform towards discovering their own personal qualities, characteristics and attitudes as an entrepreneur. JEB21 aims to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs and help the families in our international community embrace the entrepreneurial culture. 

The Bootcamp is developed to provide young people (class 6-12) with an entrepreneurial experience using the activities and business simulation as a platform towards discovering their own personal qualities, characteristics and attitudes as an entrepreneur.

Sessions consisted of both activities and lectures where the national experts and young entrepreneurs joined as the mentors. The mentors include Sadat Rahman Sakib, the winner of International Children Peace Prize 2020; Md. Rafiuddin Ahmed, Founder and CEO, Innokids; Shafin Rahman Shimanta, Founder and CEO, NextCorp; K M Hasan Ripon, Principal, Daffodil International College; Thajid Ibna Rouf Uday, Founder and Director, ANTT Robotics; Tanvir Hossain, Co-founder and CEO, Sigmind; Md. Asif Iqbal, Director of GEN Bangladesh; and Nihal Bhuiyan, CEO, ANTT Robotics. 

A business pitching competition was held for the participants. The top two winners got the gift hampers. Moreover, all the participants got e-certificate. 

The closing ceremony was attended by Md. Nuruzzaman, CEO, Daffodil Family who was the Chief guest at the program. He stated that this kind of programs should be continued as this helps the participants to widen their knowledge on entrepreneurship. 

The convener of the ceremony, Ms. Beauty Akter ended the program by giving thanks to both the parents and the participants. Ms. Beauty is also leading the Global Entrepreneurship research Network in Bangladesh.
