TOGETHER WE BUILT THE COLOMBIA ENTREPRENEURSHIP ECOSYSTEM

REUNE is the most important university entrepreneurship network in Colombia and an active member of the Ibero-American Observatory of MSMEs. Its international recognition has been driven by its outstanding participation in forums such as the Global Entrepreneurship Congress #GEC2025 in Indianapolis and its recent association with the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

This agreement will allow for the management of global strengthening programs for the more than 100 participating universities and their entrepreneurs.

The Global Entrepreneurship Network actively participated in the second 2025 National Plenary Session of the REUNE-ASCUN University Entrepreneurship Network, held in July at the University of Quindio in Armenia, Colombia. This strategic meeting brought together public and private universities in the country to strengthen collaborative work, share progress, challenges, and achievements, and project new synergies around Colombian entrepreneurship.

During this national session, the achievements of REUNE's international agenda were shared, and new opportunities for collaboration with the global ecosystem were opened. Special participation was provided by Ricardo Peña, GEN Global's delegate in Colombia, who shared how REUNE will be privileged in accessing methodologies, content, and entrepreneurial capacity development programs with international reach, such as the Startup Huddle.

In addition to the academic panels and roundtables, this space was conducive to coordinating the national REUNE ecosystem with regional and global entrepreneurship ecosystems, leveraging international cooperation as a driver of transformation and territorial impact.

This national collaboration also provided an opportunity to highlight local experiences, share best practices from active regional hubs, and showcase the collaborative work among coordinators, teachers, and directors of entrepreneurship and innovation centers in preparation for active participation in Global Entrepreneurship Week #GEW2025.

The Global Entrepreneurship Network reaffirms its commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation, and networking that strengthens economic and social development in Colombia.
