Please join us for an evening of networking as we embark on a journey through the eyes of African entrepreneurs and visualize the innovation systems that support them. This event will showcase the stories of 5 start-up founders from Africa and highlight the unique market opportunities that they are pursuing.
The evening will also include an official West Coast screening of "My Africa Is: Alternative Nairobi" the series broadcast pilot, an opportunity to learn more about the production, from the show creator.
"My Africa Is" is a documentary series exploring a contemporary look at the African continent through the eyes of its innovators. The series was the winner of the inaugural NBPC 360 Incubator competition in 2015 and a Telly Award in 2016. "My Africa Is" has grown from a web series to reach a nationwide audience PBS Audience on the WGBH/ World Channel.
