In preparation for the second annual Entrepreneurship World Cup, competitors from around the globe take part in a series of virtual training and mentorship programs that help them hone their skills and increase their chances of winning their national competitions—as well as those who advance to the Global Finals—through EWC Accelerates. Within the EWC platform, participants have access to an exclusive content library with information from mentors who share their valuable insights.
This article is part of a series highlighting EWC Accelerates workshops.
In an earlier EWC Accelerates session, Steve Calle shared his tips on: Lessons Learned.
Steve Calle is an entrepreneur, product developer and founder of Snowlizard, a leading innovator of the SLXtreme line – which is a waterproof, rugged and battery boosting line of cases that provides both power and protection to iPhones, iPads and other small devices.
Calle's main focus of the workshop was to share the lessons he learned in his entrepreneurial path with Snowlizard. Steve approached different topics such as the
- process and challenges of growth;
- capital raise;
- reasons people fail; and
- planning as a founder.
He also pointed out what things entrepreneur's need take into consideration when talking about manufacturing and retail; and he shared his experience partnering with big companies such as Walmart and Costco.
