Elaine Gold, acting managing director for GEN UK, celebrates Global Entrepreneurship Week and highlights the role that entrepreneurs play in tackling climate change in the goal to reach Net Zero.
"It will come as no surprise that Global Entrepreneurship Week comes at the same time as the COP26 (United Nations Climate Change Conference) this year. We really want to portray and highlight the role that entrepreneurs—as innovators and problem solvers—can make in tackling climate change and in the goal to reach Net Zero," says Gold on the campaign.
GEN UK worked in partnership with GEW Denmark to host the live Startup Planet event in Glasgow on November 9 titled 'Innovating to Net Zero.' The event featured entrepreneurs from across the region sharing their journeys on how the are working to reverse climate change; and it was facilitated to exploit the convergence between Global Entrepreneurship Week and COP26.
The event was also broadcasted around the world through a livestream (coming soon).
Gold has been involved in the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) for over 12 years, and is a Senior Adviser to the Global Board of GEN.
