News

  • Taiwan plans to invest NT$150bn (USD $4.63bn) in startups annually for five years to create 20,000 jobs and become a startup-exporting nation within the next decade (Tapei Times)
  • Ireland’s central bank is launching a regulatory sandbox program later this year to encourage the development of innovative projects in the financial sector (Law Society)
  • Israel’s tech sector accounts for 20% of its economy and 53% of exports according to the latest annual report of the Israel Innovation Authority. The report identifies 600 new startups launched in 2023, with a total of 9,200 and a workforce of 400,000  (Reuters)
  • Allied for Startups members, comprising startup associations across Europe, have published an open letter calling for the establishment of a dedicated startup and scaleup intergroup in the European Parliament (AFS)
