GEN in Hungary

GEN organizes the annual Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) campaign in partnership with the Young Entrepreneurs Association Hungary (FIVOSZ). GEW celebrates the successes and impact of Hungary's entrepreneurs in an effort to help break down barriers and expand the number of people who consider becoming an entrepreneur. A showcase event each year is the Career & Business Show, which has encouraged a wide range of young people to start their own company. The show has featured speakers including Sándor Demján, József Palásti, Andy Vajna, György Klapka, Erika Kósa, and Levente Balogh. Startups represent about 25% of Hungary's GDP and our events are designed to build upon this strong entrepreneurial culture and create new opportunities for those interested in participating.

GLOBAL SPOTLIGHT

Entrepreneurs Thrive Here: Global Entrepreneurship Week 2026

Millions of people around the world have the ideas, talent, and ambition to build something better for themselves and their communities — but have never seen entrepreneurship as a path available to them. Global Entrepreneurship Week, taking place November 16-22, 2026, changes that. This campaign meets people where they are and connects them to the networks, tools, and support to take that first step — showing what’s possible in their own communities.
