From April 15 to 18, the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) organized a new edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Bahrain, bringing together more than 3.000 attendees: entrepreneurs, investors, policy makers and startups from more than 100 countries.
Through the event, the network aims to identify new ways to support the new companies creation and the possibility of scaling up businesses. During 4 days, the GEC 2019 will offer an extensive program of conferences, workshops and networking spaces with the aim of connecting entrepreneurs.
This year, the congress focuses its program around 3 axes: Global Entrepreneurial Revolution, High-Performance Ecosystems, Inclusive Economies.
Global Entrepreneurial Revolution
The global entrepreneurial revolution has been consolidated in recent years and continues building innovation and economic growth in cities everywhere. During the GEC2019 participants will explore innovative approaches to empower entrepreneurs which communities and countries around the world are implementing, and new emerging innovative solutions and advancements that are changing the entrepreneurship environment globally.
High-Performance Ecosystems
The local connection and the community are the first two basic elements of the growth of entrepreneurial ecosystems. Global connectedness and global market reach are necessary to supercharge an emerging ecosystem.
Inclusive Economies
Entrepreneurship is a key force to generate innovation, create wealth and improve lives in communities, cities and countries avoiding the race, age, gender, where one lives, etc. become an obstacle. Through a focus on Inclusive Entrepreneurship, GEC 2019 will explore barriers to under-represented groups – barriers such as bias, declining infrastructure and demographic shifts –and how they can be addressed.
