09-12 April will mark the dates in the history of the largest worldwide hackathon ever held. ‘’The Global Hack’’ is an initiative bringing together brilliant minds from every corner of the globe to make the best effort possible to fight the pandemic. Join the movement, visit the webpage

The European Commission is supporting the Global Hack, an online hackathon, organised by Accelerate Estonia, Garage48, Guaana with the support of Devpost. The Hackathon is designed to share and rapidly develop ideas for the urgently needed solutions in the current COVID-19 pandemic. Innovative thinking is needed at this time to find solutions to the many novel issues facing the world today.

Field experts, scientists, tech enthusiasts, business leaders, project managers, marketers, designers, and innovators are all much needed to take part in The Global Hack, which will take place exclusively online. The key attribute here is “motivation to act”, and a massive ripple effect is needed.

During the 48 hours of the hackathon, participants will share and rapidly develop ideas for urgently needed solutions to the ongoing socio-economic crisis and also develop new ideas to increase resilience post-crisis. Idea submission and team gathering are already open, and onboarding to tracks starts from 6 April.

Anyone can assemble a team of 6-12 people who are dedicated to an idea. The team leader must register the idea and name through Guaana. During the hackathon, participants will develop their best and brightest ideas to address the ongoing socio-economic crisis and to support recovery in the aftermath.

Register your idea and join the movement here, and connect with us by using #theglobalhack

About The Global Hack

On 13–15 March 2020 something spectacular started in Estonia. It took fewer than six hours to Accelerate Estonia, Garage48, and Guaana to put together an online hackathon with the aim of tackling the expected devastating effects of the Coronavirus crisis. More than a thousand people across fourteen time zones joined this effort, resulting in over thirty proposals—some of which are already up and running in affected countries around the world. On 9-12 April 2020 we’re putting on The Global Hack to imagine the possibilities and create solutions to meet the needs of our changing world. Our goal is to bring together world-class mentors and globally-talented teams to build solutions for better tomorrows.
